Buy Pittsburgh First connects our manufacturers with the local industrial suppliers who can provide all the products our manufacturers need at the right price, the right quantity and local shipping/delivery. Why is this so important? For every $100 spent with a Pennsylvania company, $68 stays in the commonwealth through expenditures, payroll taxes and other multipliers vs. $43 from suppliers outside of PA. Contribute to the strength of our local business communities. Learn more.

SMC Business Councils has assisted my business by keeping our small company up to date on all human resources issues as well as OSHA, health care regulations and new MSDS federal mandates. My connections with SMC members have assisted my company directly when doing business in foreign countries with items such as document translations and customs through Duquesne Small Business Development Center. Without this kind of resource, I could’ve never achieved our goal to export products in a timely and professional manor. The resources of SMC, as well as its member community, are truly special.Brian Stein
